Minor in Cinema Studies
The Cinema studies minor explores the history, theory and practice of film. Students in the minor gain a deeper understanding of cinematic storytelling, genres and global cinema. The courses taught in the minor help to enrich students’ appreciation of cinema and their critical analysis skills.
As part of the larger Media Studies program, the minor gives students access to our media studio facilities to help round out their understanding of audio/visual materials.

Required Credits
Students must take 15 credits (5 courses) in the Communication & the Arts department. For the specific minor, they should create a specialization by taking these credits in Cinema Studies courses.
