Minor in Communication Arts

The Communication Arts minor helps students to develop practical, career-ready skills in strategic messaging and digital content creation.

Courses focus on a variety of topics within communication including social media, public relations, AI, graphic design and sports communication. The emphasis in these courses is on ethics, teamwork and digital fluency, giving students opportunities to learn to plan, produce and assess communication across platforms.

Required Credits

Students must take 15 credits (5 courses) in the Communication Arts department.

The COMM 399 Internship course can also be applied to the minor, which allows students to gain real-world experience during the program.
