Her work focuses on creating accessible career development resources and building bridges between academic learning and workforce readiness.

Beyond campus, Dr. Sampson's interest in higher education policy paved the opportunity for participation in NASPA's Student Affairs Day of Action on Capitol Hill, where she actively engaged in policy discussions affecting the field. Her interest in international systems of higher education led to contributions in innovative credentialing initiatives, including the development of an online badge system in collaboration with the University of Macerata in Italy. She has led workshops on inclusive pedagogy, and her scholarly work addressed the impact of social media on academic life and the challenges faced by professionals of color in higher education.
